Nick takes everything in stride and doesn’t expect special treatment from anyone. No matter how difficult things are Nick always remains positive, which has been instrumental in his success.
Favorite Hobbies:
Football, video games and swimming.
Proudest Accomplishment:
Being able to walk through Disney World for the
first time without his wheelchair.
MPS Heroes:
Pablito (Lito) Bathan, Nurse who took care of Nick while he participated in a MPS I clinical treatment trial – for the conversations, laughs and movies he brought to each weekly infusion. Lito was not only a nurse to Nick, but also a friend. Thanks to Lito and the entire Neurogenetics staff at NYU, Nick never complained about having to travel to New York each week for over a year.
